Ready to take your wheel-throwing skills to the next level? This intensive workshop is designed for potters who are confident with basic wheel techniques and want to explore working on a larger scale.
In this hands-on session, you’ll learn the essential techniques required to create taller, wider, and more structurally sound ceramic pieces — with expert guidance every step of the way.

Time: 10:00am – 3:00pm (includes a 1-hour lunch break)

Clay
You will receive 1 bag of Feeney’s Fine Blend, if you need more you can purchase it from the studio at $49 a bag.
Firing and glazing of one large piece is included (using our studio glazes). Additional pieces can be fired & glazed at standard studio rates.
What to bring
An apron and a towel to keep you and your workspace clean and tidy
Your own pottery tools (recommended)
(Studio tools are available, but we encourage you to bring what you’re used to. A range of different tools will be demonstrated during the workshop.)
(Optional, but encouraged – we’ll break for lunch together in a relaxed, communal vibe. Tea, coffee and light snacks provided.)

This session is best suited to potters who:
Intermediate level – suitable for those who have wheel-throwing experience and are confident centring and pulling medium-sized forms.

Firing Policy:
Firing services are available for bisque and midfire range only.
Pieces are fired according to our regular studio firing schedule
