Weekend Free Form Hand Building Workshop - $115 AUD

Experience the relaxation and creativity of hand-building, a freeform clay-making process that allows for a wide range of expression. In this workshop, you’ll be guided by our instructor on how to shape bowls, vases, mugs, plates, vessels, functional kitchen ware, sculptural pieces, or anything else you can imagine!

This class is structured to cater to everyone—they welcome those with a specific design in mind, those who might be unsure, and all levels in between! No prior experience is needed, making it perfect for beginners as well as more advanced potters.

You’re invited to join us, from novices to seasoned potters! In this session, your teacher will introduce one hand-building technique—choose from pinch pots, slab building, or coiling. You will receive 1.5 kg of recycled clay to create your own unique piece.

Once your masterpiece is finished, we will fire and glaze it in a classic white. If you prefer to add your own personal touch, you can return for an additional $30 to glaze your piece using your creativity.

What’s Included:

  • Expert Instruction – Our experienced teacher will guide you through the fundamentals of hand building to bring your piece to life.

  • Custom Design – Whatever pieces you are making, use your personal touch with unique textures and shapes to make it truly one-of-a-kind.

  • Professional Glazing & Firing

  • Coiling and Slab Building: At the end of the class, choose 1 piece that you have created  and our team will professionally fire and glaze your work, making it food-safe and dishwasher friendly. If you would like to keep more than 1 piece, there is an additional $30 charge per piece that you can pay after your class.

  • Pinch Pots: At the end of the class, choose 2 pieces that you have created  and our team will professionally fire and glaze your work, making it food-safe and dishwasher friendly. If you would like to keep more than 1 piece, there is an additional $30 charge per piece that you can pay after your class.

  • You can choose from white glaze.

Who Can Join:

  • This class is beginner-friendly and open to any one over 12 years or over.

  • This class can also be booked for private group events.

Note: Firing & Glazing takes roughly 4-5 weeks. We will contact you when your pieces are ready for collection. If you do not return to pick up your pottery within a month of the pickup date, we'll donate it to those in need in our community.

*We are open for pick up Monday-Friday 10am-3pm and on Saturday mornings from 9-2pm.
